History

NJ Shodokan Dojo is a group of friends who came together to train at various facilities in the study of Tomiki Aikido.  Sensei Reinstein has been training students in the Sussex County area since 1999.  The NJ Shodokan Dojo permanently moved to the Sussex County YMCA in 2005, when the building opened and still trains there today.  NJ Shodokan enjoys it's location at the Sussex County YMCA  because the YMCA focuses on the betterment of it's members rather than a profit.  This philosophy is in tune with the philosophy of Sensei Reinstein.
